Dr. Schonfeld

Dr. Schonfeld, a native of South Florida, is the senior member of the group and has spent his entire professional career at Gastroenterology Consultants, P.A. He serves as Managing Partner of the group and has functioned in this capacity for almost 20 years. In 2000, he was named one of the best GI doctors in South Florida by South Florida magazine and has held Best Doctor honors every year since 1999 by Gold Coast magazine, the Palm Beacher and Boca Life magazine.

Dr. Schonfeld has held numerous leadership positions throughout his career including Chief of Gastroenterology at Hollywood Medical Center and Memorial Regional Hospital. Currently he serves as President of Memorial Integrated Healthcare and President of the Medical Staff at Memorial Same Day Surgery Center. He is also a member of the Board of Managers of South Broward Endoscopy, the endoscopic ambulatory surgery center affiliated with the practice.
